FOR SALE - The last of the most iconic hot hatch, VW Mk1 Gti before they became the run out "Campaign Edition".

This very rare survivor is a 1983 U.K right hand drive non sunroof model in its original Mars Red no2. Great condition inside, outside and underneath.

With Volkswagen UK importing fewer than 1000 examples of RHD Mk1 GTI to the UK and never officially selling them in Australia, this Mk1 GTI is believed to be one of less than 20 examples of the Mk1 GTI currently in Australia.

This car comes with a library of documentation and service history right from the original owner in 1983 till today, easily over 300 pages. A lot of money, time and love has been spent over the years to keep this car as original as possible without restoration.

In the recent years this example has had its underside recoated to prevent rust, the engine has been extensively maintained and last week a two step paint correction and ceramic coating with G technic was complete.

Winning awards, featuring in magazines and travelling across the world, this car has been through it all. Currently not registered as it’s in storage but do regularly drive it around the block and to car shows on trade plates with no issues.

BBS wheels not included, will come with original GTI rims.

Will also come with a few parts, brand new splitter, aftermarket taillights, new headliner, new seat upholstery, original radio, genuine German plates etc
